Birds Eye View’s highly acclaimed flagship film-business training programme Filmonomics will return in January 2015, with new focuses on developing confidence, facing failure and rejection and trend-forecasting for storytelling and future audiences. Supported by Creative Skillset, Filmonomics was created in association with former Screen International editor-in-chief Colin Brown, author of the Filmonomics blog for Slated.com.
The bespoke programme is targeted at established women and BAME film practitioners, and is designed to bridge the gap between development and distribution, mixing industry knowledge with behind the scenes networking and discussions on vital topics such as finance, teams, marketing, exhibition and audience development. One of the unique aspects of the programme is the focus on the individual with sessions focusing on increasing confidence.
